For hair loss / thinning affliction, how common is it for afflicted ones to go through denial stage until loss / thinning can no longer be denied? If you went through denial stage, how long did it last? Do you regret having gone into denial?

I denied hair loss for a long time, possibly years. Wish I had accepted it and started my treatment earlier.

It was normal for me not to believe its male pattern baldness, I was ****in 18 years old, I know I have bald genes in my family but I expected to get it in my 30', I dident even imagined that someone can get it so soon, it's new to me

I was in denial because I was 31 when it started, and I though that if I made it that far with the head of hair I had that I would have my hair forever.

I was first told that I had thinning hair on top when I was 17. But I was dying my hair at the time. So I ignored it. When I was like 21 I got a hair cut short, looked fine. But was always paranoid about showing scalp. 22 I finally joined the forum, which most people on here said I wasn't losing it... I took a few months of Propecia... then once my hair started to get longer I stopped. I don't know why. I just thought, since my progress was slow maybe there was nothing wrong. 4 years later, here I am back.

Do I regret it? Yes. Even though my thinning isn't that noticeable when its dry, it sucks.
