Delays... delays and more delays... and hair

So it appears that the Chinese works either can't or don't want to handle the demand for lace systems, and are taking huge amounts of time to get lace systems done. I am seeing delays of 4-6 weeks, and longer. Some pieces are getting refused outright.

Skin (Poly) systems are taking far less time, as they are easier to make.

North Korea. No news, don't count on them coming back online for quite a long time.

Also, due to the pandemic, Remy hair prices are skyrocketing. And systems made with it are going up and up.

So, basically, no good news.

This is not good news. Why is the hair system industry taking so long to open back properly? I thought the world was on its way out of the pandemic. Or is it that there is just such a backlog of orders that companies simply cannot cope with demand? Why is North Korea taking so long to open its borders?

1. Read the news, the world is not anywhere near being out of the pandemic, with some countries seeing some of the highest infection rates since the beginning.

2. They have not been able to replace at a 1:1 ratio N.Korean workers. It's about not being able to afford to pay them, and people not wanting to do the work for any price.

3. North Korea is not likely to re-open until this is totally over. There has been 0 reporting since the border has closed. The speculation is that the disease has ravaged the country with an almost non-existent healthcare system. It is thought they are suffering from extreme famine, as well.

4. The pandemic in India is causing a huge reduction in hair availability, along with other donor countries.

I am seeing no delays, we use DHL and UPS. I am also getting my AliExpress packages in weeks, not months.

I am talking a 7 day delay not months.

I received my custom lace piece in 8.5 weeks including shipping.

It was finished in 6.5 weeks but Fedex had a delay exiting. I was told freight flights Q-ed. No delays via UPS so as ever all comes down to which courier used on that score for the final stage

Wow, 8.5 weeks is the normal pre-pandemic delay...which supplier you use? (PM me if not comfortable telling here)

My custom piece took 9 months, and ended up being crap

Thanks

Sent these guys a message about a custom one. He said around 12 weeks and price is cheap. What's their quality /service like? I was hoping to go through a company first time who could draw templates and fit it etc until i get the ropes

If you want the fitting etc.
Go with Mike Ford(HairReplacementStylist). Not cheap but cheaper than most hair replacement salons offering the same.
He can get custom systems in 8-10 weeks by rush delivery, or 12-15 weeks without.
