dandruff

hi. this place is a wealth of knowledge, maybe you guys can help me. im about a NW2-2.5, and my hairlines been pretty stable at that level. everything was ok until this past summer, when i went through the worst shed i've ever had. also, right at the same time the shed started (and for its duration), i had horrible dandruff along with it. after 2 months of this i found nizoral (thanks to this board) and used that 3x a week. it immedietly stopped the both the shed and the dandruff. i continued using that every other day and was ok for a while.

lately, its flaired back up again- itchy scalp, dandruff, and a bad shed all at the same time. nizoral don't seem to quite be doing the trick; in fact iwas worried i was using it too much, and this was causing my hair and skin to dry out and have more dandruff. so right now i am just trying head and shoulders every day.

i've been on minoxidil everyday, but just one application a day. my skin is very sensitive, i've always had problems with eczema, so this is all i can tolerate. it did cause a little bit of dandruff the whole time i've been on it (about a year and half), but before it was easily controlled with head and shoulders a few times a week. i would hate to stop using it because i've had a pretty good response, lots of peach fuzz showing up. i just started on finasteride 3 days ago, so that cannot be the problem. i also take vitamin C and fish oil supplements to help with inflammation but im sure the effect of those is nominal.

any advice for how to get my scalp under control? i'm sure the dryness and inflammation is causing more hairloss. i read online to try several different dandruff shampoos and see what works. i was also considering nizoral 2%. thanks in advance.
