Drake Drake Drake. Lol jk man....but naw your hair is much longer now. I was dealing with that too but recently buzzed my hair and it looks close to your buzzed hair. I think with long hair we tend to brush it back and it puts stress on the hairline....my plan is to keep it short so I don't comb/brush it as much to allow it to grow naturally. But I don't see a big difference other than your hair is much longer creating the illusion your suspecting as reccession. You've got great hair man.

If your really worried and can get your hands on finasteride then go for it if your not scared....just take .25 for maintenance and if it does get worse in the future just up the doasage.....how old are you btw?

i appreciate your message bro

but i know for a fact that my hairline has receided. the thing is will it stay like that or keep on receiding untill the middle of my hairline starts going too then the crown etc

I'm fine with it staying that way, i guess people call it a mature hairline

But from what i've heard, it rarely receides then stops just like that

I’m 20 yo

I dont know if i want to commit to a treatment for now, just asking if people have experienced or witnessed cases where someone lost his nw1 in his teen years then stayed with the same hairline

Tbh your at that age where your going to mature....maybe your face and forhead has grown and made your hairline change with it but to me you have no issues....and like I said it's damn near perfect still. Don't go down the bdd road. Check back in a year and decide on treatments then.

Appreciate it bro

Actually i havent had a haircut for almost 2 years, my hair is over 10 inches on top, its very curly so its not visible. I just shave the sides and back on my own with a shitty razor without lining up the hairline or anything cause i would mess it up

24 y o, I'm pretty much in the same situation. I feel like there's some confusion on what the Norwood scale numbers actually mean, on some of the pics of the different stages a Norwood 1 is pretty much a natural hairline with no notable recession, while what you and I've got going on is noticable for sure (but mostly to ourselves). Either way, your hair looks great atm.

Just a heads up regarding meds: I haven't tried any of them yet but they seem to be some pretty serious sh*t. A lot of people report rough side effects, and some of them will outlast the treatment. And even the topical ones like rogaine/minoxidil might cause you to shed a lot of hair the first few months - even before you start seeing any results whatsoever. So definitely monitor your hairline for further recession before you even start considering going on meds.

At what age did you start noticing the recession? Has it gone any further ever since?

I actually just noticed it a few months ago, back in february. Looking back on older photos, it seems like it started about a year ago or so. Haven't noticed any change these past two months, hoping it's not aggressive.

I saw your thread, you don't seem to have any thinning, but your hairline isnt showed

If you're 24 with my hairline i think you will maintain it for a long long time cause you already went through the DHT peak (which I don't think I have yet since my facial hair is still developping and is yet to be close to complete)

Interesting! I'm afraid I might still be thinning actually but at the very early stages. Since waking up 4 hours ago, I've counted ~30 hairs lost, so something is definitely wrong. Maybe it's because of stress, but I'm not sure. If you're interested in seeing my hairline, I posted some pics in this thread: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...tern-baldness-where-do-i-go-from-here.120746/
