In my own experience, I have noticed that if over due it with the retina a and minoxidil with retina a or alcohol, sometimes my scalp gets irritated and becomes well, basically damaged skin. Therefore, I stop applying the minoxidil until my skin heals and I have noticed that hair tends to start growing where the damaged skin was. Not very strong hair, but defintley not vellus hair either.
