I have a real problem with hair systems currently.

I cannot go over 4 days without incredible itching by day 3 or 4.

I have both a dandruff and dry skin issue too.

The entire thin skin base was a nightmare and I had incredible itching all over after 3-4 days.
And I couldn't wash my scalp with anti dandruff shampoo through it.

I currently have a hybrid french lace centre and front with poly perimeter. I only use tape on the poly perimeter.
After 3-4 days it gets very itchy again.
However if I wash my head so it penetrates the lace parts with anti dandruff shampoo. The incredible itching there goes away.
But the very bad itching remains in the poly section still.

I was thinking about getting a full lace base hair system which would be more breathable and able to wash more of my scalp with the anti dandruff shampoo through it.
However I don't want to waste the hybrid base hair system I have currently. And want to wear too!
But cleaning up strong tapes every 3-4 days is way too much time and hassle.

I have Sensi-Tak,1522 in my collection as well as other tapes such as Extenda Bond Plus, Pro Flex,No Shine.
And the tape I was using was Walker lace front(blue backing on a roll).

I have Sensi-Tak,1522 and a generic 3M medical tape in my collection as well as other tapes such as Extenda Bond, Pro Flex,No Shine.

Do tapes such as 1522 give a strong enough bond so it won't fly off my head in strong wind?
I'm a bit nervous to use the 3M tape that could.
But are they easy to remove and don't leave adhesive residue?
See a dermatologist

I don´t know how often I have written here about this problem.
Do a patch test before ! Put a tape on your arm. Let it sit for 72 hours. Thats not a big deal. In my case Ive found out that the glues my skin won´t accept begin to itch maybe 20 hours later.
Try different glues / tapes !
Try to use hypoallergenic tapes !
1522 is ok but. I think I tried it maximum hold was a couple of days for me.
Maybe you can try some tapes from Vapon. They seem to be hypoallergenic. I made a topic here but no one responsed

Agreed....but 72 hours is excessive. If you don't have a reaction in 2-4 hrs, you won't.

yeah that´s what they tell. I have a reaction maybe 24 hours later. And as I said thats not a big deal to put it on your arm and wait a day before put it on your head and be dissatisfied that this tape / glue won´t work. Also if you have big problems with a glue you can ruine your scalp for a couple of days / or even weeks.

Hmm ok. Maybe your scalp is... don´t know what its called in English.
Maybe try Ketoconazol shampoo, give your scalp a little break or whatever.

I do a patch test beforehand. I have always done that and put a plaster over the bit of tape I patch test.
I don't think it's an allergic reaction here. As it starts itching after 3-4 days.

There's no issue on the first day or 2. 3-4 days later I get issues.
You clearly have an abnormal condition. Why play games with your health? A wig forum isn't the place for medical advice......

The annoying itching is starting again but only on the tape area.
3 days I've worn it since. It could be the tapes. But more like the poly perimeter where the anti dandruff shampoo can't penetrate, and sweat/bacteria build up.
I hope a full lace base with say Walker Extenda Bond Plus tapes with the little holes in solves my issue.

Otherwise I will have to re-apply it every few days and use a low-tak tape such as Walker 1522.
You keep referring to sweat and bacteria like it's something new. You do realize the sebum your scalp produces is anti bacterial, right? I'm sure you also know the sodium in your sweat is an inhibitor too.. Again your concern would be better addressed by a dermatologist not a wig form.
