Has anyone ever taken cyclosporin for extensive alopecia areata? I have been getting cortisone injections for 2 years but with very little success. I went to another dermatologist and he suggested I go on Cyclosporin (this suppresses the immune system and supposedly results in mega hair regrowth).
After reading about the drug and its side effects, I'm not sure if I want to risk it just to have hair on my head. Thoughts anyone?
