cutting proscar into 4ths or 5ths

just curious if anyone has had any relatively adverse effects while cutting into 4ths opposed to 5ths. the reason im confused is because even my Doctor gave me instructions to cut into 1.25 portions, yet propecia pills come in 1mg portions? im thinking of doing 1.25 and if i notice any bad side effects, go to 1mg. that sound like a reasonable plan?

Is there an increased chance of getting side effects on a 1.25 mg dose of finasteride if you've gotten none with 1mg.

I always cut proscar into 4, you're going to lose some of the pill as dust when you cut it anyway. Also, its shape makes it nigh on impossible to get 4 even pieces, don't worry about this too much just get as close as you can.
