Cutting finasteride pills

Is anyone else having a problem cutting generic finasteride pills. I use Walgreens finasteride (I don't know if they're different than others in the U.S). The pills crumble a little bit with each cut. I even use a pill cutter. Any secrets?

i personally use a new razor blade
one that only cuts pills
the (pill cutter) blade may be dull

it is much easier to cut pills by hand with a new/sharp blade
