I'm ending my 12 months on 1.25mg proscar daily. I am not exactly sure how to judge the results. I feel it has slowed down my aggressive male pattern baldness somewhat being that I first started receding at age 19. I have thick hair everywhere except my front temporal region which is now a NW3. I tried growing out my hair a bit and I do have to work pretty hard to make the temples less noticable. Would you guys suggest just buzzing it down and making my hairloss obvious, or just keep it longer. I don't have pics, but it's just a tough situation because if I go short, I will never attempt the stylish hair again.

I just wanted to add something else. I am about 22 years old now and quite honestly you won't ever be the same with hairloss. At the same time, having tried my best with being consistent with medications and all that work. I am starting to just accept it. It's just the way it is and you have to move on and improve yourself in different ways.

i currently have a 8 month supply left of proscar. i will continue using it for the 8 months and if it doesn't work i might just give up on the fight. would dust actually make a difference? my male pattern baldness is EXTREMELY aggressive on the front. the crown and the rest will probably slowly thin eventually.
