Last days i have been thinking about hair loss meds.
I guess Propecia is the most efficent product we have. It is stated that Propecia helps in more than 70% cases, saves hair and prevent further hairloss.
So, i have been thinking, lets assume that 24 years old man notice beginning of hairloss and start using Propecia. He capture it early so he is in 1.5 - 2 Norwood zone. If he use it regulary, every day, for years and decades, does it mean that he will save his hair and in his 40is and 50is still be around NW2, 2.5 at most ? If so, then hairloss problem is pretty much solved.
Thank you for reading, would love to hear opinions.

There are definitely guys who maintain their hair on finasteride for 10 or 15+ years. Yes, the merck study says 5 years...but there are definitely many people who maintain their hair for 10+ years. And yes for some people it does regrow and maintain their hairline..

everyone is different..some people the meds don't work at all...some people the meds work for 5 years..some people they work for 15 years...some people dont regrow their hairline..some people do...theres no definite answer to this stuff

its stupid to say "finasteride doesnt work on the hairline" or whatever..thats just not true

My hairline seems to be filling nicely and I'm only on finasteride around 4 months, started around the 10th of February. The old blonde see through hairs are now darker and longer and when I comb my hair back, I can see loads of more hairs coming out where my existing hairline is.

Anyone who Norwood 2 and less should only bother with finasteride and nizoral, minoxidil should be only used when the lost hair is prominent, IMO of course.

:)
