Crown thinning or possible cowlick?

Hello there.

Posting just to get some insight. I am 22 and have been keeping an eye on my crown. Lately I seem to be losing a bit more hair than usual. I see a decent amount on my pillow and quite a bit in the shower.

if I had to guess I would say I lose about 20-30 hairs each shower and on my pillow I notice about... roughly 15-20 hairs.

Not sure if this is normal though.

I've researched and found out that Nioxin shampoo is good and I even use Tea Tree oil on my hair because they say it helps with growth all that.

I wanted to find out from you guys if I do in fact have something to be worried about, or if it's just normal part of aging.

Here is a pic.

My hairline is decent but i have noticed a different around the temples.

Here's another pic.

Family history isnt ideal either. Dad is bald, he's 58 started receding in his 30's I would say.

Mother's side was slightly better.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I also understand that some people may post sarcastic stuff, I am hoping that isn't the case, Im just trying to get some advice that is all.

Thanks

looks like a cowlick, if your prone to male pattern baldness and notice your temples going, schedule a dermatologist appointment. Unsure if they will give you a script for preventitve measures as you show no obvious signs. Try it anyways. Could get finasteride online without a script.

Nioxin system is bull****. You should get nizoral (it does very little but if your looking for a shampoo its the best one to get)

I would love a derm appointment, problem is (Live in Canada) I cant get one without a doctor's referral and my own Doctor isnt giving me one because she says I am fine. I may look at another opinion.

Nizoral I have heard of, may consider it. Ya Nioxin hasnt done anything lol I also dont like the way it makes my hair feel.

For finasteride I have considered it as well. I may look at buying it online but would probably be more comfortable just getting a prescription from a Doctor or derm if I ever get an appointment.

Just read your previous thread which I was in, ya its going to be tough. You could try a hair transplant surgeon you might have better chances with them.

I used nioxin awhile back, does it make your head burn afterwards? It did for me and it felt good, but doesn't actually do anything to combat male pattern baldness.

Yeah. I mean my concern comes and goes.... sometimes I'm fine and other times I feel more anxious and nervous that I'm losing my hair.

No it's the foam that does that, I dont use the foam.. only the shampoo and conditioner but I havent been using it lately anyways. I try not to wash my hair as often to be honest but that is also causing a dandruff issue which I have never had a problem with.

I keep trying to do whatever it takes to keep my healthy healthy and fuller but idk. My doctor continuously says I am fine but Im not as sure as she is.
