Crown loss...

So recently I have been noticing a bit of crown loss. It has thinned, I don’t really know how bad it is as I haven’t taken a picture, however, it definitely does feel thinner when I touch it with my hand/fingers. I am a Norwood 1.5-2, so I’ll be HAPPY with maintenance only. I have diffuse thinning in front, crown thinning, and moderate to aggressive hairline recession.
Here is a basic timeline about my treatment:
End of dec ’06 (so might as well say January ’07), started liquid rogaine front (including hairline) and crown.
Mid March – began finpecia from united pharmacies. Quit using liquid rogaine in crown. Noticed overall thickness in the front region increased so regrowth there (still recession at temples). The crown seemed to be maintained, though no regrowth there.
April ’07 – switched over to rogaine foam (used in temple areas ONLY). Still no growth along temples
End of May ’07 – quit rogaine foam because it wasn’t doing much for my hairline.

My question is, why is my crown thinning now? I have been on finpecia for almost 3 months, shouldn’t it at least maintain what I have after that time? It can’t be that I’m losing the hairs I had from the liquid rogaine because I never had regrowth there. Should I expect finpecia to maintain what I have now and maybe regrow some? Thanks guys

Using foam for a month won't make a difference. Think about it. If normal hair grows half an inch per month, in a months time, will you regrow hair, and also have current hair come in thicker? I think not. You really need to give a regimen a minimum of 6 to 8 months to show results. You might have a shed 2-4 months in, and that's when a lot of guys quit... Just when things are happening.
