Cowlick Or Am I Balding? Need Advice

freaked out today after a hair cut. The barber showed me the back of my head and for the first time I realised a spot without much hair. I have been losing hair during shower or combing.
I am 27 year old, so feel sad if I am balding at this age as I have other illnesses to deal with as well.
Is this normal or I am balding?

I think it's hard to tell, but experience tells me no. I'm a barber and I've seen crowns like this before, especially if they're combed like that. The best way to tell would be to cut it down to a 2 or 3 all around and then you'd really be able to tell if the density of hairs is changing.
