Could this be a factor to my hairloss??

Hello all

Just something that i thought of...

I suffered form and illness for 4 years and was constantly on prednisolone/hydrocortisone , at various doseages alot of the time very high, then i became "steroid" dependant" meaning my adrenal glands stopped producing natural cortisone and subsequentley went to sleep

Im now only on 5mg of hydrocortisone after a successful operation to rid me of the disease, the doctors have said that eventually the adrenal glands will wake up and i will be producing a natural level of cortisone.

In the time after having the operation and now (2.5 years) i steadily noticed my hair loss each time i dropped the doseage , immediately after the op i was on 30mg and my hair was super thick with a mature hairline, every 3 months or so i would drop the doseage and when i got to around 10-15mg my hairloss started to accelarate quite quickly.

I beleive the normal human body produces around 12-15mg of cortisone naturally whereas im running on 5mg artificially, i was wondering if this could be a factor in my hairloss?? could my hair possibly get thicker if my body starts producing the cortisone again??

Its as simple as - high or normal doseage = thick hair , low dose below average = thin hair

Thanks in advance
