Could one use minoxidil on its own?

I have been on 0.5mg finasteride for about a year or more, and is continuing to thin out all over. I'm going to make a try with 1mg finasteride EOD, and if that don't relive me of the sides I think I have to quit.

After reading alot on this page I see almost only bitching about minoxidil, so I'm really insecure if it is actually a good thing to use.

Are there any happy minoxidil users?

And does anyone use minoxidil all over the scalp with good results?

I have used it all over the top of my scalp for almost 5 years now and got great results. I am on the generic 5% liquid.

I am 37 and started minoxidil when I was 34. As far as pics if you search through my posts I put some out about a year ago but my hair has not changed too much since then so the pics are pretty accurate.

Well it does not work on everyone so the people that do not get results, or bad inflamation will post negative about it. See I got most of my results on minoxidil and not propecia but others get alot of results on Propecia alone. I will tell you that I tried foam and lost ground so I switched back to liquid, I am NO fan of the foam but yet others here get great results. The bottom line is different treatments work for different for everyone and the only way you will know what works for you is to try it. (Hope that makes sense I was typing fast)

It's the same old "figure it out yourself". That's one of the things I hate with hairloss, you have to figure out stuff on your own and experiment on yourself, and nobody else then you actually gives a sh*t.
