I'm on my second month of fluridil, nothing good or bad to report. My hair is just kinda maintaing, but has been starting to fall out as of late. Should I continue with fluridil for another couple of months or should I try the 5% spirio solution that's been mentioned in a previous thread?
The more threads I read on this site regarding fluridil the more discouraged I get about using it...seems like no one has anything good to say about it :( So now I'm at a crossroads. Should I risk trying this "non Dr. Lee" 5% solution or just stick with fluridil for another two months? Help me!

It's a tough call really. Of the few popular and credible hairloss forums on the internet, Fluridil seems to get more positive USER feedback. HOWEVER, the stuff lacks credible studies with the exception of one performed by the company who manufactured the product themselves.

spironolactone, on the other hand, has lots of studies backing its use as an AA, however it seems to get mixed reviews as far as user feedback goes.

I personally tried Fluridil for a month but stopped becasue the high alcohol content in it made my hair look like straw. 1 month is obviously not enough time to decide if it helped or not.

I have tried both 2% and 5% spironolactone cream. The 2% caused strong bouts of shedding after 6 months of use and the smell became unbearable. The 5% cream had a slightly less offensive smell, as I only used a little on my temples and hairline for maintenance. I tried this for close to 11 months and did not experience any maintenance in those areas as they continued to become diffuse. I used it once a day at night.

So u felt like it did nothing? That is discouraging.

IMO, spironolactone is better on paper. But that is only my experience and opinion.

Okay...so spironolactone 5 percent is better on paper. Next question...what about the five percent solution that is being offered on the internet, is this stuff credible or no? I think its from genhair.com. Sorry bout not having the link.
