Confused over minoxidil solution or foam.

Hey folks,

I am 25 years old and started having hair fall from past one year. It was quite intense and I had started to lose my hair I was previously proud of. It took some time to cross the whining and the cursing period and home-made treatments. Unsurprisingly none of them worked and I decided to seek professional treatment.
I was told to use Minoxidil 10% solution twice daily. Soon enough I started having tightness at chest and other symptoms such as flickering at eye lid. Reduced the application to once a day and less than 1ml each time. There was the shedding phase for a month or so and then it seemed to me that the hair fall reduced significantly. For once, I was quite happy and enjoyed the results. Pretty soon I was getting disturbed by the messiness in my hair due to the application of the medication.
Currently, I am on the Minoxidil 5% foam, supplementary tablets and q-cera. The foam, unlike shaving foams is not water based and dries as soon as it is applied. Now, I feel that the foam is not as effective as the solution and no matter how it is applied, most if it rather sticks to the hair and dries up than getting onto the scalp. To add, there is an increase in the hair fall yet again.
Has anyone here had the same experience while switching over to foam? My hairfall probably increased as I moved down from 10% to 5%. I have also heard that people moving from solution to foam experience another phase of shedding. Yet I strongly feel that this is due to innefficient application of the foam.
Please share your experiences.

put rogaine foam on your hand and gently rub it between your hands and it becomes watery just like rogaine liquid..then apply it in your scalp!
