Confidence damaged

Hi. My partner had hair transplants when he was younger and took meds to sustain it. Recently he stopped taking them which was a mistake because since restarting them it has never grown back to the way it was and he has lost a lot of hair.

His confidence has taken a massive battering and I'm stuck on how to help him!

Any advice for me or him?
