Condidering taking 5mg finasteride

Hello all,

I have some success with Propecia (1mg finasteride) and as I know this is working for me, I am just wondering what not taking 5mg/day in order to stimulate more regrowth.

I have never seen anyone on this forum taking more finasteride whereas he known it was working for him.

Is it too stupid or I missed sthing?

Or 1mg twice a day actually, since life of finasteride is quite short (only a few hours).

Has anyone experienced varying finasteride dosage?

meh...there is a difference but it is small, the half life of finasteride isnt the same as the time the effects of the pill still withstand.

Well im considering taking 1.25mg in the morning et 1.25mg at night in order to block more DHT and generate more regrowth.

Do you think it can be performed by this way? Or anyone has a better suggestion?

why not just head for dutasteride? :dunno: :dunno:

Taking greater dosage than 1mg per 24h will not bring you better results but might just side effects. It has been proven in the study, the dosage for male pattern baldness is 1mg per day. People from Merck didn't just decided it will be like this without trying with more.

And as you can see in this graph, taking more than 1mg will not block significant more DHT
