Concerned about my daily dosage

Hi,

I recently just ran out of Propecia, which I have been taking religiously for about 11 months now.

It may be a few weeks to a couple months before I can get another bottle of the stuff... but I have a bunch of Proscar as reserve (always prepared).

I have about 2 blister packs of Proscar, and about 70 Cipla finasteride pills in my reserve bottle... I am unsure of the Cipla stuff though so I'm just gonna stick to the Proscar til I can get back onto the Propecia again (I simply prefer having a steady dosage and don't mind paying for the brand name).

So, today I had to take a 1/4 Proscar for the first time.. instead of my Propecia 1mg perfect dose.

Should I be at all concerned about this change-up in daily dosage? I don't THINK so, but just in case I want a few other opinions.. obviously the daily dose will be more finasteride than usual since I'm doing 1/4 Proscar and not 1/5.

Any feedback or am I being paranoid?

Thanks!
-Mike

I have taken everything from .25mg a day to 5mg a day and currently I am taking 2mg a day.

I don't mean to discount all those who claim side effects from finasteride, but I simply cannot understand how people have all these problems from 1mg, or are sweating having to take 1.25, etc.

finasteride can be taken in varying doses, and up to 10mgs a day, etc. You may notice an increase in acne or your sex drive may shoot way up, and/or down, etc..but the body is resilient.

In answer to your question, after being on it for 11 months, I simply cannot see how going to 1.25 or even 2mg would do ANYTHING negative to you.

Excellent thanks.

I did not think so either, just checking with others as it were :p

I've had zero sides at all in my course of these 11 months (that I've noticed, anyway)... my sex drive has been and continues to be extremely strong.. and I don't have acne anymore (already been there and did that in my teens and got it taken care of at about age 20.. I'm 27 now.)

I took Accutane for 4 months straight (strongest dose, back face and back/chest acne in those days) and it basically cured me. Haven't had a zit since.

:)

So no worries on rushing to get a new bottle of Propecia..

I have both real Propecia and then CIPLA fincar...my bigger concern is if the CIPLA stuff is real !

I have alternated taking both. I have ordered of Drugs-one, as suggested on this site, and recently off of 111Drugs, or whatever it is. All I know it, other guys claim to have had success from using CIPLA ordered from the various sites.

I am going to go straight CIPLA soon.

At my request, a friend who is from India got me some Fincar when he returned from a trip home. A 10 pack of Fincar costs 100 Rupees which is just over $2. I think all of us should try and befriend our Indian colleagues!
