concerned - 5 months on finasteride

hey everyone,

So i'm 24 and have been on propecia 1mg/day for 5 months now. I have always had a high hairline and always been not so happy about it but it was somewhat manageable however now just behind my hairline is extremely thin almost to the point where i feel there is not much hope left. i do see some small promising looking hairs but the overall look is really really bad. just wondering if this could be from shedding or if anybody has experienced this and had regrowth. any comments are appreciated...i'm really at my wits end about this whole situation.

Unfortunately propecia doesn't work as well on the hairline as it does on the crown. However, there are people that still have great results with it.

5 months is much too early to be looking for results from Propecia. Results seem to top out when you are in the second year, so you may get lucky.

Make sure you take regular pictures, and be patient! You are taking the best available treatment for your hairloss, so good on you!
