3 months ago, i had thick hair at the hairline.....

re:

How do you breakdown your hairline in percentage form? Does this mean 80% receeded, thinned.....and how do you come to such number without proof. If you make a statement like that you must also say that this is simply a guess based on your memory and you have no photos to back up your claim. Now people are reading your post and thinking finasteride destroys hairlines, which could be true but you have nothing substantial to back up your claim. Again, it is irresponsible and something that should not be treated lightly.
I "think" my hairline got worse after about 1.5 months on finasteride, but since that time it has all grown back and is looking better then when I started. I had photos that backed up my claim then and now. Stick with it, as the very least finasteride is not killing hair follicles.

re:

Won't open for me. Again, I am telling you I had chunks of hair coming out as well and it all grew back. I think Merck has really missed the ball on this side effect because they did not test the drug on people who were very low on the norwood scale and had not been balding for long.
Regardless of the photos, I think it is clear that the finasteride is doing something to change the complextion of your hair and there is just no evidence to point out that the finasteride causes a permaneant loss of hair. However, there is evidence that many people go through a shedding process on finasteride. Maybe you are a really rare case in which finasteride will cause a loss in hair density but I think you will be in great shape once your follicle have time to recover.
Make a decision (to either quit or stay with finasteride) and stick with it for a few months and then re-evaluate. Rememeber hair goes through 2-3 month cycles so nothing can be concluded without allowing for sufficient time to have you hair go through a cycle or two.

well, i'll stay with it obviously since i'm about 80% sure that propecia caused the shed, and if it did, i'm 90% sure it will grow back

within two weeks of propecia use, i started shedding like a b**ch.. hairline went from NW0 to NW3 in 2 months... i cant beleive that it is normal male pattern baldness... felt like a Telogen Effluvium shed...

i just started my 4th month... when do you think i should start seeing signs of recovery?
