Hello guys.

Have anyone ever used a shampoo with this ingredient instead of ketoconazole?

I've read some people saying that it's better and more effective than keto treating dandruff and itching.

Thanks.

If your sole purpose of using climbazole is to treat your dandruff and the itching accompanied by it by all means go ahead and give it a go. Don't delude yourself into thinking it's going to help your hair loss though, same goes for miconazole, another antifungal people try to use for hair loss with no evidence to back it. Only ketoconazole is proven to have antiandrogenic and hair growth stimulant properties and one study proved piroctone olamine increases hair shaft thickness.

Miconazole increases PGE1 = good for hair growth.
No idea about Climbazole though.

Appreciate your replies.

Captain Hook, it's only for dandruff/itching purposes, because i suffer from scalp seborrheic dermatitis. Nizoral 2% doesnt help much and i'd like to know your opinions about if 1,5% Climbazole its better or basically the same as Nizoral.

Does it actually? Are there any studies proving this?

I can't find any studies comparing it to ketoconazole but I'd say it's on par with effectiveness. However I'd still highly recommend ciclopirox olamine, particularly the Stieprox 1.5% brand, it smells fresh and doesn't dry your hair out like Nizoral does, I found them to be equally effective for treating my own seborrhoeic dermatitis and even my dermatologist told me ciclopirox olamine is as effective as ketoconazole.

Thanks for your reply.

Stieprox it's only available in Canada, right? There is no way to buy it in Europe i think!
