Can a cholesterol test tell you if you have diabetes? I am getting a cholesterol test and I also asked to check for diabetes. The receptionist said they can find this out with the cholesterol test. Is this true? (I am only asking because the receptionist did not convince me and didn't even know if I had to fast - which I know I do).
