cholesterol test

I am taking an online class that requires cholesterol numbers checked like once a week. It's a fitness class for college. If I don't want to go to the doctor's once a week, how can I test this? And if I do have to get it checked by the doctor how painful is it?

You cant get it checked once a week anyway you cant notice a change on a weelky basis. It does not change that fast.
