Negative interaction b/w SOD's and NO?

This came straight off this sites FAQ's:

"Superoxide can also interact with nitric oxide to form a highly destructive free radical called peroxynitrite, which causes protein and lipid oxidation."

So my quiestion is whether using a NO supplement (for exercise purposes) and a SOD's like in tricomin at the same time will have any negative effect?

that is new to me. Dr Proctor says we need SOD to protect NO from super-oxides.

Your body makes both NO and SOD. CPs are a different molecule, though might have been used in the article. SOD is a very big copper peptide, weight 32000 daltons, and coded for by DHA. There is a natural 3 peptide CP also coded for, but the one in tricom is different.

Thank you for sharing that with me. I know nothing about this kind of stuff - see, I confused SO with SOD (left out the dismutase).

That probably makes a difference, disallowing the bondage or whatever!

i'm still not too sure what tricomin (or an SOD) actually does... anyone care to be so kind??

I forgot how they think it stimulates growth, but at low enough concentrations, it modifies scar tissue by making the body break it down and make regular skin tissue. At higher doses, it burns the skin. At low doses, it repairs faster as the dose goes up, until it starts buring. The ideal dose is different for every person. I dilute my AC spray and use it every other day so it will last longer and be sure to give me slow help, rather than risking being at a too high dose. I'm using my other topicals and pills to stop the balding. If you only are using tricomin, and nothing else, you may want to just use the recommended dose.

so if one is concerned with maintenance then tricomin (and SOD's) aren't recommended??

Yep...that's what I thought you must have done.

People (like myself) take SODs for the very purpose of preventing free radical damage caused by NO.

Anyone on Arginine or a bodybuilding NO reactor should be supplementing with SODs. The stuff is toxic!
