Chemical stability of dutasteride in solution...

A bit of a niche question, but then there are some very knowledgeable peeps here!

I recently bought 5g of pure dutasteride, and am trying to make a topical solution. I don't have scales sensitive enough to weigh out the sub-miligram daily dose you are meant to take, so I'm thinking of dissolving it into a solution, and using a little bit of that every day.

Anyone willing to venture comment on how quickly the dutasteride would degrade. I am aware that propylene glycol oxidises over time to form lactic acid... would this rapidly degrade the quality of the solution?

Another possibility is, I suppose to put a scoop into my minoxidil, but then I worry that some of the minoxidil will come out of solution...

Hmm... I disolve the avodart pills in minoxidil.

JohnNYC also puts avodart in his minoxidil but cuts them open and squeezes the liquid into the minoxidil and he's had good luck. BTW where did you get the powder from, I've been thinking about buying the powder instead of the Dutas?

Looks like you already bought those Dutas. Not sure powder is going to be cheaper than Dutas. I think i'll buy a years worth of Dutas since they are so cheap.

Yes I ended up buying dutas 90 at a time from inhouse, I've inquired at a couple of places that supply the powder but never got a response back.

I found a place selling Dutas for $8 per 15. How much did you pay?

Definitely cheaper to buy powder. I am paying 1.7c per 0.5mg dose, for instance.

Also, it's just my experience, but I've lost a heck of a lot of ground over the last 7 months on Dutas, and it's knocked my faith in the IOPs.

Are any of you getting sides from this. Have you tried oral dutasteride? Someone pointed out earlier that you'll still receive sides but to a lesser extent.
