Changing types of minoxidil:

I know that this will probably sound like a ridiculous question but i was wondering if their would be any negative effects created by switching the type of minoxidil your using throughout the treatment. I've just gone from a generic brand (Equate) to a solution that was formulated by a pharmacist.

Also, when did you guys who use minoxdil notice that the sheds had slowed down and weren't as common? Did any of you have any bad sheds during the latter part of the second month on the treatment?

Almost all brands of "minoxidil hair regrowth treatments" are created equal. If it says something like "compare to the active ingredient in Rogaine" then it's the same stuff. Equate is Rogaine in sheep's clothing.
