Hey guys I am in a quite desperate situation right now. I am 28, have had diffuse thinning for about 4-5 years and started on treatments 12 months ago. I am quite a late bloomer physically, so I don't count on my age, it's quite aggressive like most diffusers here who are like 20.
I had great success with Propecia and Keto, I was really happy but about 6 months in I started going thinner again - I am pretty much back now where I started may be a bit better. I then started Tricomin but it didn't make a difference. So my treatments are:
1,25 mg finasteride/ 1x every day - 12 months
Nizoral or Revita/ 1x every day - 12 months (maybe too much?)
Tricomin/ 8 pumps 2x every day - since 3 months 16 pumps 2 x every day
16 pumps Tricomin is a lot - like a bottle a month instead of 3 months. It turned my hair really dark. But didn't regrow. I mainly did that because my head was still itching like hell ... but I figured out recently it was my massive coffee consumption that triggered the itch. I quit drinking coffee and tea since then the itch is gone ... but still I have doubts that will make a difference for my hair - I guess it was more a skin condition.
I am thinking now of either upping my finasteride dose to 2,5 mg ... I am using a generic with prescribtion for 36 Euros/ 40 pills (200 days) ... that's so cheap I am not going to change the doctor, but I am sure he won't agree with me upping the dose. So I thought of buying another generic online and adding 1,25mg from that at night? What do you think?
The other option would be to add minoxidil. But I can't use minoxidil and Tricomin. I am going out a lot and I just know I won't be able to apply all that stuff all the time ... so I would have to drop Tricomin and as I have no clue how much I benefitted from that I am unsure now. Does Tricomin really do anything? So many people recommend it but I have never heard from anybody here regrowing on that or even seeing a difference, apparently it stops shedding but it didn't with me.
