Center frontal balding?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew about where a frontal balding spot in the middle of the frontal hairline is on the norwood scale? I had never seen this before, but a friend of mine has it now.

Where is he going in balding pattern?

He's probably thinning all over on top. At the beggining of male pattern baldness, it's hard to say exactly which part of the scalp will start to show 'see-through' patches. Probably (if he does have male pattern baldness), over the years the entire top will starting looking thin.

Just my theory.

I'm sure these guys were just joking around with you. Sometimes we try to lighten up the depressing mood around here. I'm sure they meant no harm.

Now....the balding front and center....I know this all too well. That's how male pattern baldness started with me and i'ts still the thinnest part of my hairline. Really sucks!
It started there and within a few years the entire top of my scalp started to thin.
It's kind of hard to say how your friend will end up since male pattern baldness can effect each persons hair differently, but he has some hope if he starts treatments.

Now regarding the other responses, I just didn't find them funny and they seemed more like a wise-*** response then something humorous. And, considering the amount of serious responses I contribute to this forum, I got a bit irked when I posted one of my rare questions, I got somthing not helpful.
