Celebrity hair transplant - have any Dr.s been definitively identified?

Hey guys, I realize this question is probably almost impossible to answer, but figured I would try nonetheless.

Certain celebrities seem to have had very successful hair transplants- Ben Affleck, Edward Norton, and Daniel Tosh come to mind. Now, granted, I'm not seeing them up close and am going off of the camera, but even in HD and in bold lighting the results seem great.

Given they have effectively limitless funds, I assume they went to the best of the best. I also assume they'd never in a million years disclose who it was or that they did it (with the exception of Tosh, who talks about it all the time.)

So my question is, is there in fact a "doctor to the stars" when it comes to this? Have any celebrities (like the ones above) with successful hair transplants been provably linked to a certain doctor, or have come out and just said it?

Thanks!

I can't answer your question because I don't know but what I will say Is that even though the hair transplant's of celebrities look good, the surgeon may be less inclined to do yours to the same standard. You may not be paying extra to make sure you get a top job done and many surgeons often like to experiment a little on patients to see how a new idea would go. hair transplant surgeons hold all the cards when it comes to transplants, my advice would be don't cheap out and make sure you go to a professional one with solid reviews right across the board. If I ever get one done I am going to Rahal or Feriduni as my loss is minor and they are the best at Hairline restoration IMO.

It would count as advertisement, that's probably why they don't mention. That guy in Interstellar mentioned a dodgy drug as the cure for his hair loss which is obviously bs, he got an hair transplant and finasteride and minoxidil like everyone.

Lots of celebrities have bad hair transplants. Fame and fortune doesn't change the fact that hair transplants are a flawed procedure with definite limitations and risks. The #1 limitation being the extreme deficit of donor hair (supply usually can't meet demand) and the #1 risk being that it doesn't look natural.

Sly Stallone and Nicolas Cage are two examples who had bad transplant work done, despite their money and fame. When you see them on screen, they're wearing hairpieces. I've also seen Nicolas Cage on TV with a ton of concealer in his transplanted hair (he didn't look good). In fact the whole 'movie star with transplants' topic is hugely misleading to most people, because they have a team of hair and makeup artists to make them look good. Guys like us don't. They might look good onscreen, but how do they look when they wake up, or just out of the shower, or after getting caught in the rain? Those are the conditions that average people care about.

I think it's more telling how many celebrities didn't get transplants. Why doesn't Ed Harris, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Jason Alexander, Brendan Fraser get a hair transplant? What about all the celebrities who got a transplant and now wear a toupee to cover it up? You have no idea what you're looking at, when you look at celebrities' hair. This whole topic is misleading, because it suggests that hair transplants can achieve more than they actually can, and that the only thing holding you back from having great hair is not being rich enough yet. It's disgusting to me, when you see hair transplant doctors actually participating in this myth-making. Here's a link showing Dr Cole's website discussing celebrity transplants (I wasted $36,000 with Dr Cole, and virtually none of the grafts grew).

Notice that he suggests that Billy Bob Thornton got a hair transplant. But everybody knows that Billy Bob Thornton wears a hairpiece. But here's Dr Cole floating the idea that it might be a transplant - that's really disgusting. But the hair transplant field is rife with con men and charlatans.

Also, I looked for evidence that Daniel Tosh talks about his transplant "all the time" and couldn't find it. Link?

Damn, well put man, sorry for the situation you were put in by a scumbag like that. The top priority of a hair transplant for most people is to make it look good and so many surgeons fail to do this for an awful lot of their patients, you can see by the way the hair is styled and angles/lighting of pictures in EVERY photo of before/after results that hair transplant surgeons are trying to feign results. Hair transplants are not the solution and are incredibly risky.

Most celebrities probably get taken advantage compared to the average guy who has to do a lot of research since money is an issue.
