castor oil and shedding

I have noticed that everytime i put my castor oil/olive oil/vitamin e mix on my head and leave it on overnight I seem to have a substantial shed the next morning. I have read it on other places also. I am on minoxidil and derma rolling and expect to shed some but it is a weird coincidence that it happens every application.
Just curious if anyone else has noticed something similar

The shedding is happening because of the minoxidil.. it makes your hair brittle. Get off it asap before it eats away your remaining hair!
