My dad has a norwood 3 front and a norwood 3/4 vertex, he is 70 now. My grandfather is a norwood 0, so is all his
5 son's. My father's crown started thinning when he was a norwood 3 at age around 36/41.

I'm 26 years old

Did you restore your crown fully? i've seen your story, very impressive.
No I didn't. In some parts I guess I have lost 30-40%. It has hopefully stabilised though even though I shed lots of hair still...I can still give the impression of a full and lush head of hair using the right styling

What norwood where you when you started losing hair on your crown?

I doubt it is possible to fully restore hair but often it takes many cycles and they do increase in diameter. You need at least 50per cent density to have seemingly full coverage. The rest is styling and hoping you maintain...

I think I was and still am Norwood 2 with thinning in the back. My father is receding but has great hair in the back. My one grandfather is NW7, super aggressive hair loss, all gone at 23 or so, my father's father had a receding hairline but had hair when ühe died. I seem to be in between unfortunately...but I'm 35.

Don't know about a full restoration, in the sense of the hair you had at age 17. But if you are just thinning, your chances of looking cosmetically not very bald are pretty good.
