Can you have NW2/mature and still have a bald/thin spot?

Just wondering if there's any truth to this. If you just have a NW2 and nothing further, is it possible to have a thinning crown, or do you need to go further back to a 3 before that starts to happen?

You can get a thinning crown at NW2. Some people in fact get a thinning crown with no recession at all.

Absolutely not true. I noticed thinning on my crown when I was still NW1. My crown then got thinned out quite a bit while my hairline never progressed past Nw2.

But like most other male pattern baldness sufferers, I was constantly looking at other dudes' hair :gay: and I definitely seemed to be in small minority. About 95% of guys with chewed up crowns like mine looked to be easily about a Nw3 in the hairline category.
