can you dye/highlight your hair before/after surgery?

Can you dye/highlight your donor hair or even the after transplanted hair? I mean it doesn't really affect the follicle unless it really seeps in. That would only possibly ruin the quality of the hair, but if you want or prefer a different shade of color

would this be a bad idea, or would it be alright?

Can dyed/highlighted donor hair still technically be used for transplantation as long as its roots are okay?

It is fine to color/dye your hair pre-op, but do it at least one week prior to surgery and do not use a peroxide based product.

You cannot color/dye your hair post-op until complete healing of your scalp has taken place.
