Ok. First off, I'm a teen with thinning frontal/temple areas on both sides. It's been known by me since last year at this time but didn't really start shedding until this past summer abd hasn't stopped permanently. I started minoxidil(RG foam) on Dec 17th of 2014 after I went a few months with no successful remedy. I shed the MOST in my life from Dec 17th-Dec29th, it was unbearable. What made me stop was the horror stories I read on HLH about Rogaine Foam and it's shedding phase that has made many men lose significant amounts of hair with NO RE-GAIN. So I've been off of the foam for the past few days and I'm still shedding, not quite as much but my temples haven't stopped. My frontal area(which looks way WORSE than pre-Dec 17th) has stopped its shedding by at least half the hairs.
The reason why I made this thread and the reason I'm confused is the fact that my temples, the edges close to the eyebrows, have been growing significantly. Other areas are shedding but both corners of my temples are thickening and getting longer.
It's really confusing. In a lot of ways. I'm in an obvious shedding phase for the first two weeks of foam treatment and my corners are thickening. Am I a good candidate? Should I continue? Is it fools gold/freak occurrence?
I ordered proscar along with Kirkland liquid yesterday and was going to permanently abandon the foam but more I'm having second thoughts.
Any advice/ rationale would be extremely helpful.
