Can someone please help me with this question? Body hair?

Hello everyone!

I have just joined up here! my names Neil

I have a question...My hairs becoming really thin on top all over although Im not receding...?

Well my dads bald and Im trying to find out if I take after him or not? this is my question...

My dad has not really any body hair at all...I have a hair ches, back arms etc...he has none of this? is there any relation to body hair and the hair on the head? IM REALLY hoping there is? ie if my body hairs different to his then is my hair on my head also likely to be of a different gene also?

Would be really grateful for any help?

Its a total mix of both parents genes, but if you're Dads bald you have at least 50% chance. There is no correlation between body and head hair, you can be bald with or without being hairy elsewhere.

body hair needs dht to grow and thats what causes hairloss or w.e, but it doesnt work that way, your hair is genetically programmed to be resistant or susceptible to the dht causing it to minaturize(if im not mistaken), so no, im a hairy guy, with lots of hair on my chest, arms and legs, and i have good hair, for now anyways, but ive been hairy sinc elike 14 and im now 19 and i havnt noticed any hairloss to be male pattern baldness yet, my moms uncles were really hairy, and they didnt go bald. so no, body hair doesnt have any thing to do with balding

If you are bald up top, it is good to have hair on your body so you can do BHT. Few doctors can do it right though, so wait and see what they come up with and who is good.

Thanks for the reply but its not what I was getting at. What I meant was that am I genetically the same as from my mohers side in terms of hair as my Dads not hairy at all but I am and my mothers actually more hairy than my dad?!

do you mean that since you are hairy like you moms side you wanna know if your scalp hair will take after her side? is that correct? i dont think its the same code
