Yes it can. But remember you will go through shed then most likely you will regrow hair you shed + more. If you decide to use minoxidil also add Nizoral and something reduce DHT (finasteride or topical spironolactone)

I'm using minoxidil for 4 years, so far so good. I go through sheds once in a while but I always get hair I shed back.
I actually was shedding like crazy 2 months ago, I noticed my hairline was getting pretty bad but now I regrow those hair back.
I'm on liquid Rogaine 5% minoxidil (once a day/night), Nizoral shampoo 1% (3 times a day), topical 5% spironolactone cream (twice a day), hair signals (every other day), and occasional 20% azelic acid.
All topical, no finasteride / dutasteride.

Minoxdil isn't going to grow back the hair you lost. At the very least you should take finasteride. If you only are using minoxidil, you are not going to see much, if any, progress.

You wash your hair 3 times a day with Nizoral???

Yes it can restore a hairline . As long as the hair follicle is not dead
Right. Well in the second picture, doesn't it look like the hair is still there, just smaller (i.e., miniaturization)?

I'm going to take finasteride. And why not? Isn't that the whole point of Minoxodil? Also, is the hair that grows back like ****ty weird hair?

Well, if you read the instructions it says that it's only for the vertex, and only fda-approved for that area as well. Then again there are many people that think they know better than the manufacturers of rogaine/regaine ;/

It only says that because that is where they tested it for the clinical trials for FDA approval so they are not allowed to make claims that it works on the hairline. There have been independent studies showing it works for frontal loss and there have been countless posters who have had success with minoxidil on the hairline. The people that have been posting here for years know what they are talking about. Instead of making sarcastic replies on a subject you don't seem to know much about, you should take notes and learn something.
