Can pulling your hairline frequently with hand produce traction alopecia?

I have this habit of pulling my recessed hairline back with hand and I seem to have been recessing faster than before. I just kind of pull my hair in certain ways(OCD i guess). I do this like once every 10 minutes. I do not actually try to pluck my hair out.

Start pulling it forward and your hairline will grow back in!

I doubt it, traction alopecia is essentially continual tension on hair that results in continually plucked out hairs that result in damaged follicules. Unless you are actually removing hairs during this process its highly unlikely. When I see girls with overly tight ponytails and slightly recessed/bad quailty hair at the hairline I just cringe knowing its tension alopecia.

Pulling your hair in anyway generally isn't good for it, basically just don't force your hair with anything that could potentially be bad leading to breakage.

Majority of black females have traction alopecia, it's usually associated with tight braids or ponytails.
