Can Nizoral/rogaine Combo Make Your Hair Worse?

Hey all,

Sorry if I missed this in a different post.

I sometimes see stories on here that this combo will actually make hair loss worse in some cases? I believe I am just starting to see some slight recession starting (always been a nor 2, but some of my hair looks like its miniaturizing and have an appointment with the dermatologist in 2 days) and wanted to start on some proactive treatments in the meantime. Is it true this could actually make my hairline worse, it's not that bad now and I would hate to cause more problems than would occur naturally by starting this.

Is there any indicator if this combo will work long term? I feel like it's all a mixed bag by using this forum as a sample size.

I would recommend finasteride before rogaine, especially if you are only at a NW2 and aren't really looking for regrowth. Rogaine doesn't fight the root problem, and does cause shedding at first. I honestly think rogaine caused my miniaturized hairs to go through a huge shed (had a lot of them) and they didn't grow back. Most people will say that rogaine can't make you worse off, but I disagree because of the synchronized shedding it can cause.
