Can Minoxidil Cause Hairloss, Or Is It Something Else?

Hi!

Im 26 years old and have been using minoxidil for my beard growth, basically i apply it on my beard every morning. Unfortunately, i have recently noticed alot of grey hair and a lot hair loss in my head, can this be due minoxidil? To be clear i only apply minoxidil in my beard and not my head, but still can it cause hair loss in my head?

Grey hair from mino? Not sure about that but some people experience darkened hair (I went from medium brown to very dark brown on minoxidil).

Same, my hair got very dark and healthy looking on minoxidil, people associate that on finasteride but minoxidil when and if it works you can expect an increase in density and quality.

Could it be shedding and vellus hair( white hair) growing out?
