Can minoxidil buy me time?

I've successfully gotten about 3 years out of finasteride. Its been failing on me recently and I plan on adding minoxidil to the mix soon. Just curious how many years I could squeeze out of minoxidil usage. 3? 5? 10??
Any long-term minoxidil users out there?

pure minoxidil won't do much. if you add finasteride and minoxidil you can get 10 years if you are lucky. i used minoxidil initially, it gave 2 years for me. but the sad thing is my male pattern baldness prgressed (without me realising it ) as rogaine gave very good coverage in the front.
so, i would say start finasteride if you can. the side effects are exaggerated.
if you can't get on minoxidil, nizoral, spironolactone and all possible topicals.

sorry didn't read properly. yes adding minoxidil will help you.
if your male pattern baldness is under control, then start minoxidil.
but keep in mind that just like finasteride, minoxidil is also a lifetime committment.

I have never used minoxidil but I can imagine it would be quite a pain in the arse to apply it twice a day for the next 15 - 20 years..... Then stop and go bald...
