can i use minoxidil with toppik on head

Hi guys,
I am planning to start off with minoxidil 5% solution. Presently i am using toppik hair concealer to mask my thinning hair.

Now, my question is can i apply minoxidil with toppik in the hair/scalp ?? I dont think i would be able to shampoo my hair twice a day as it would get very cumbersome and also not the best of things to do if hair is already thinning.

Well, i have read a few articles which claims that toppik is absolutely safe and it could be used alongside minoxidil, but the procedure is like apply minoxidil,wait untill it dries and then add toppik.

Cant this process be reversed like applying minoxidil in the night with the toppik that we added in the morning in our hair/scalp ?

Also would that be safe because there might be a possibility of toppik fibers reacting with minoxidil and entering into scalp.

toppik is safe you use with minoxidil

although if you are using the liquid you will have to wait a considerable amount of time for it to dry

my suggesting would be to use the foam during the day and then apply toppik

the foam dries very quickly and the toppik goes on nice

Well my question was slightly different. Its like can we apply minoxidil with toppik already on. The problem arises when i gotta reapply my night dose of 1ml.

So i was wondering if i can directly apply without having to wash toppik off my hair.

Just concerned if those fibers would prevent minoxidil from being absorbed, or even worse, dissolve into the liquid and enter into scalp.

yes it's totally fine to apply minoxidil with toppik on your head

the toppik should not effect the absorption of the minoxidil or reduce it effectiveness

the toppik will not absorb into the scalp

you are in the clear

although i believe you get better absorption of minoxidil when applying to wet scalp
just something to consider
