I'm looking into taking a drug that has this in the "prohibited medication" section for the related clinical trial:

"The use of α-adrenergic receptor-blocking agents 6 weeks prior to baseline and during the study."

The "a" is really an alpha symbol on the website.

Does this include finasteride?

Thanks in advance.

no. alpha adrenergic blockers are typically your anti hypertensive (high blood pressure) medications. They are contraindicated with use in a lot of other medications because they block constriction of your blood vessels allowing for increase in blood flow, this can lead to a reflex increase in heart rate if not controlled or if used with the wrong medications. talk to your doctor about it to be certain, but propecia is certainly not an alpha inhibitor.
