Can I add my own Azeliac acid powder to my 5% minoxidil?

I'm thinking about buying some Azelaic acid powder from ebay and just adding it to my minoxidil 5%.

Is this ok? Will it dissolve ok and not interfer with my precious minoxidil?

Why even take a chance? There is no in vivo evidence that topical azelaic acid works as a 5a-reductase inhibitor.
