Can finasteride Go Bad?

i know this post has probably come up before but i haven't seen one on the board. i cut a months supply of proscar into quarters and leave it in the little compartment of the pill cutter. these quarters are left exposed as after cutting there is not much of a shell left around the pill. anyone know if these could go bad? i am thinking of just cutting one pill up every four days just in case. if anyones researched this or had success with a proscar regime similar to mine, let us know. i'm starting to worry about it.

It has an expiration date on the bottle. Usually 1 to 2 years I think. Been almost 8 months since I've been on merck brand finasteride so I'm not sure. Just keep them in a dark, cool place and the silica gel capsules inside and you should be just fine for the duration of the prescription.

i don't get why people cut up every pill..just cut up 1 pill at a time.. when that runs out,..cut another one. it doesn't make sense why some people cut all of them. leave them sealed
