Can chronic stress make male pattern baldness take hold earlier?

I'm a 20 year old male who has suffered from chronic anxiety for around a decade, and my hairline recession is pretty bad now. Apparently it was beginning to recede even when I was like 18. I didn't notice, but yeah. Everyone else in my family who has problems with hair loss didn't have those problems until their late 20s, or at least they kept all of their hair into their late 20s. At the rate I'm going, I'll be done in a few years.
But really, I'm not exaggerating when I say that my body is ALWAYS tense. I am ALWAYS uptight, and have been for years. Is it possible that all of this stress and tension could have made male pattern baldness begin to occur earlier than it otherwise would have? I mean, I don't know if there is much I can do about it even now. Like I'm not sure if my chronic stress were to all of the sudden stop, it would grow back. I doubt it. But I'm just curious. I just have a need to know if my anxiety did this to me.

The very same topic has been discussed here before http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interac...-true-that-stress-can-contribute-to-hair-loss (started by you)

Anyway I think it is possible that anxiety or chronic stress can trigger the early onself of male pattern baldness and if that's the case, there is nothing you can do to make your hair grow back unless you are on some kind of hair loss treatments. By the look of your hair loss pattern, it's very likely that you have male pattern baldness (not telogen effluvium). Have you seen a dcotor?
