Hey
Just wanted your guys opinion on where to buy hair replacement systems online which are good quality.
I have been wearing hair systems for about a year and a half now from the salon but it's costing me a fortune.
I have a custom hair piece which costs 400 pounds with a another cost of 250 for cutting and fitting. Maintenance fees are 75 per session but I have mastered to do that myself.

However I understand that it's a risk buying online as you don't know what to expect but I'm willing to just try but I need to know a good place to buy them. I have heard of Lord hair but looking at reviews I'm not convinced but that seems to be the one creeping up all the time.

Any advice or ideas?
Thanks

If you have your original template, and the order details of your current system, then you can always try and order from the online companies.

I would do lots of research on here and on other forums. There is a vast difference in quality and consistency among the suppliers, you really need to be careful.

Is there a difference in ordering from the UK, or outside? I would think that the UK companies are paying customs duties on these systems the same as you, as they almost all come from China? This would allow you to not just buy from the UK, and widen your options.

Yes I have a orignally temple and I know what the requirements are aswell
I wouldn't mind if it's in the UK or outside but just want to see if I can find a online company which is good and reliable. I have done lots of research so far but still can't find a good one to go with...

No worries. The company I use, OneHead Hair, their custom systems with European hair start at £694, and the stock systems (also European hair) at £384, so that is probably NOT what you are looking for. I have heard good things about http://www.ukhairsystems.com/, but have no personal experience.

@Saggy I had the same idea but I carry on using the same company. They are much cheaper than you pay. Where in the UK you're based? Guy that I use is really good but very busy. If you can do your own maintenance he could probably fit you in. PM me if you'd like some details.
I also bought the 0.03mm skin system from Curtis@MHE for £200 (Black Friday offer) including Duty. At the moment is still in my cupboard. The quality seems really good but density is a little low for my liking. It also have CC hairline. So it depends on your preference really.

I am not in the UK, I use OneHead via the Madrid location. I am also not looking for a new vendor.

Cheers,

I would strongly advise against buying online UNLESS you have a specialised stylist available already to do the cut-in and fitting. I have made the mistake in buying a systems and cannot find anyone to cut it in for me. Generally a stylist will not cut.fit a system unless they supply it or they know they supplier well... and this is for good reason because the stylist will end up ruining your system unless they know how to work with it.

And to think - I had a really awful experience with TCP for my first (and only) system but I will still be returning to them for my next system because at least I can be guaranteed of having it supplied AND fitted. And that is why the salon approach works - because you are not at risk of losing money or worse still ending up with a messed up system on your head. Do the maintenance yourself but use a salon for the supply and fit.

@grincher I know we have spoken about this in the past and so I apologise for asking again: can you tell me who you use in/around London and anyone else you might recommend around there? (I'm actually on the Windsor/Heathrow side).

Although know nothing about them yet....

HairHub is UK based and is both online/in person.

And seems to let you choose many different bases etc.

TCP are trash, don't know why you are wasting your money with them?
They ain't the only ones for cut-ins. Awful 'quality' too.
And they are hairclub like pay monthly sh*t.

My first system was from the TCP.
Looked fake as f*** and £420 wasted after only 4 days as the awful piece went in the bin in the end as they wouldn't refund it.
I don't work currently but have alot of savings, so it pissed me off greater throwing my money away.
They don't refund, I tried arguing with them.

As there are many others in person.
Hairhub has many salons and you can choose the base type, hair4all,etc

The company I'm currently with(Optima Hair) although a few hiccups, but least looks real on me.
And excellent service how they deal with things.
