There is a phantom Burning Scalp Syndrome that makes you feel like your scalp is crawling all the time.
This may not be down to medication on your scalp it’s a nerve pain issue.
I treated my with an every day Periton type hay fever drug as it’s your body attacking itself .I then added propanalol that you need a prescription for in the uk anyway.
Burning scalp does cause hair loss unfortunately apparently but it’s generally temporary.Good luck with it
